James practises mainly in criminal law and personal injury. He is a regular book reviewer for the Bar Association of Queensland Journal and has tutored in law and ethics.

James has contributed to the Queensland Litigation publications.

James McNab was called to the Bar in 2004 and has practiced at the Private Bar since then. He practices in all criminal jurisdictions in Queensland and regularly appears in New South Wales Courts. In addition to criminal he also practices in administratively law.
